Protected bay with flat water - perfect for beginners and experienced freestylers alike. No waves to worry about, safe training close to shore.

West wind is perfect. Southwest and northwest also work well. Thermal winds in summer provide consistent conditions. Rare shore break.

How the rental works
📋 Booking:
Walk-in to our shop at SA Jensens Vej 1, or call in advance: 42 72 76 98
💳 Deposit:
- Not required for short rentals (2-3 hours)
- You sign that you are responsible for the gear.
- For longer rentals (several days) we take ID as a deposit.
🛡️ Insurance:
You can take out water sports insurance if you want to be extra safe. Ask us for details when booking.
⚠️ Responsibility:
You are responsible for the gear during rental. Normal wear and tear is OK, but serious damage must be replaced. Windsurfing gear is expensive – take good care of it!
⏰ Opening hours:
See our current opening hours on the surf center main page. Primarily open April-October, but contact us for winter months.

What is the difference between Standard and Premium gear?
Standard gear: Beginner-friendly, stable boards that are easy to handle. Standard sails and rigs. Perfect for learning and casual sailing. From 300 kr for complete setup.
Premium gear: High-performance boards – lighter, faster, more responsive. Newer models with carbon components. For experienced windsurfers. From 550 kr for complete setup.
Why is FlexCard so much cheaper?
FlexCard gives you 10 hours for the price of about 6-7 hours. It's our way of rewarding loyal customers and locals who come regularly. You save 400 kr (Standard) or 650 kr (Premium) compared to paying per 2-hour session. It's perfect for training all season long!
Do I need experience to rent?
We highly recommend that you have taken a beginner course before renting gear. Windsurfing requires technique and safety awareness. If you are a complete beginner, book our intro course first – you will have a much better experience when you rent afterwards!
How does FlexCard work?
You buy 10 hours of credit for 1,100 kr (Standard) or 2,100 kr (Premium). When you come to the shop, you use 2-3 hours at a time – completely flexible. We register how many hours you have used. Your card is valid for the entire season (May-September), so you can use your hours when the wind is good!
Can I rent just the board or just the rig?
Yes! You can rent complete setup (board + rig + wetsuit), board only, or rig only. Perfect if you have some of your own gear with you. Prices for board/rig only are shown in the price table.
What sail size should I choose?
It depends on your weight, experience and the wind speed of the day. Generally: 5-7 m² for beginners in moderate winds. We will help you choose the right size when you come to the shop based on the forecast of the day.
Is wetsuit included?
Wetsuit is included with the "Complete Setup". If you are only renting a board or rig, you can rent a wetsuit separately (see the Waterwear section of the price table).
Do I have to pay a deposit?
Not for short rentals (2-3 hours). You just sign that you are responsible for the gear. For longer rentals over several days, we take your ID as a deposit, which you get back when you return it. You can also take out water sports insurance for extra security.
Do I need to book in advance?
Walk-in works fine most days, but during peak season (July-August) we recommend calling first on 42 72 76 98 to ensure your preferred gear is available. Premium gear and specific sail sizes may be in particular demand.
Is Ebeltoft Bay good for windsurfing?
Yes, excellent! Ebeltoft Bay is a sheltered bay with flat water – perfect for both beginners and experienced surfers. Consistent wind conditions, no waves, safe training close to shore. Westerly winds provide the best conditions. The spot is ideal for freestyle and learning.
