Blue Spirit is a personal surf and water sports center in Ebeltoft and Hvide Sande, where we offer wingfoil, kitesurf, windsurfing, SUP, kayaking, wave surfing and parasurfing. We work with small teams, experienced instructors and focus on safety, quality and genuine experiences on the water.

We are based in Ebeltoft and Hvide Sande, but the majority of our guests come from Aarhus and the rest of East Jutland – including Randers, Viborg and Silkeborg.

Ebeltoft is the closest place on the East Coast where you can learn water sports under proper and safe conditions, making it an ideal day trip from Aarhus.

Ebeltoft Vig faces west, which means that:

• about 80% of the time the wind blows from the west or southwest
• it provides onshore winds, which are safer for teaching
• Shallow water far out makes learning safe
• many spots work in different wind directions

That is why we can teach kitesurfing, wingfoil, windsurfing and SUP consistently, even for beginners.

No. Most people who book with us have never tried water sports before. We specialize in beginners and always start with safety and understanding, correct use of equipment, small manageable steps and teaching at your own pace. If you are nervous, you are actually exactly in the target group.

Kitesurfing can be dangerous if taught incorrectly or in the wrong conditions. That's why we have high standards for spot selection, instructor level, group size and safety procedures.

In Ebeltoft, onshore winds and space on the water provide the best possible framework for safe teaching, especially for beginners.

We teach from May to October:

• May–June: good wind, fewer people
• July–August: warmest water, summer atmosphere
• September: still hot + lots of wind
• October: cooler, but often extremely good wind conditions

All necessary equipment is included: board, wing/sail/kite, wetsuit, vest and helmet (where applicable). We use premium equipment that we surf ourselves – not cheap beginner gear.

Yes. We organize company events, team building and stag/hen parties for both small and large groups. Many companies from Aarhus, Randers and Viborg choose Ebeltoft because the area has a lot to offer – and water sports are often the main activity during their stay.

Yes. We offer parasurfing and adapted water sports for people with disabilities. We work professionally with municipalities and institutions and have a physiotherapist attached to the team.

We are not the biggest – and that is intentional. We focus on small groups, personalized instruction, high safety standards and a genuine love of the sea. That is why we have 5.0 stars and many repeat customers.
